Baby Story 2

The 7th week:
Jan 29th:
Didn’t really know where to go for check-up. Kind of asked around and figured Dr. Ding in Puteri Hospital was good. So I took my second half day off and went to Puteri Hospital. Too bad, when I got there, Dr. Ding has gone for an emergency operation.

So I went to see Dr. Leila. She was quite nice and friendly. She kind of brief me those doubts that a common 1st timer mother will have, including how often we want to go for the check-up, where to deliver, what to eat more, etcs. She then did the ultrasound scan for me and I saw just a “dot”. She told me that that’s my fetus, and it was about 3mm. She then gave me some folic acid and calcium tablets, instructed me to take one each on daily basis.

I then went home excitedly with the ultrasound photo to show Looi.

That night was Jacky’s wedding, Looi and I attended the wedding. We saw those old friends and we were sitting together with Hong Fei, Wen Hua, Ming Jia, and Wei Liang they all. I guessed it was a common syndrome that I will get tired very easily. After a few dishes, at around 9:30pm, I was so tired and we had to go home. So we were planning to leave while In Shin was pretty drunk, I guessed. He had Looi drank a glass of wine and I told him that I was pregnant. He was shouting this news to everyone and I was shocked. It was quite funny though. I was kind of worried to say out this news to people as I was told that many it is “pantang” to tell people during the early stage of pregnancy. So, I kind of consoled myself while asking my baby not to be angry with me… =) This might not be too rational but under those situation and outside pressure, I chose to do it, who knows if the “pantang” thing is really “pantang”?

Baby Story 1

It was very funny… I was just mumbling around, complaining that everyone was asking me when we will want a baby. However, I guess, I was pregnant just after I posted the Dec 11 blog. Maybe our baby just heard my words and decided to stop people from asking again, and so he/she decided to come into our lives then… That’s a gift, a priceless gift…

The 5th week:
Jan 15th: I fainted in the morning meeting again, in front of 30 people. I was feeling kind of weird because my whole body was aching and got tired easily, after my cousin’s wedding on Dec 30th, 2006. I went home and decided to go see doctor. I told doctor that I was late for that month’s menses. We then discovered that I was 5 weeks pregnant. Oh, what a news. I was a little worried while I felt the happiness as I was not sure if my health condition was ready to have this kid. I then went home and had some rest, and I sms Looi about this news. Then I went to by this Anmum milk powder and started to drink it twice a day, as instructed by the doctor.

Dec 11th Myth: Happy Birthday! Happy 1st Marriage Anniversary

Time flies! Can't imagine it is another year already. Yeah, I am 27 today, and I have been married to Mr HS Looi for exactly 1 year.

Happy Birthday to me. I wanna say something to my mama: sorry about the pain that you suffered 27 years ago, and I hope that I bring less and less troubles to mom and dad every year I grow. Thank you! I got many greatings since this morning, from Dad, Mom, Bro, Boon, Ling, Iris, Teck, Keen, Adeline, Yvonne,... You guys are so SwEeT!!! Muack~

What happen during this year of being Mrs LOOI? Hmm, let's see. People have started calling me as "Auntie", including those co-workers in the company. However, I don't really mind as it is only a name, as long as I stay young and healthy, I am not the "real auntie". Hmm.... People has started to bug us when to add a member into our couple lives. Gosh, this is kind of annoying sometimes. Oh well, the baby will come when the time comes... So don't rush us... Duh! =)

How are we celelbrating my birthday and our anniversary? Hmm, good question. We were so so so so so so so busy during the last weekend, and today both of us spent our precious hours with our bosses respectively. Hence, the celebration is postponed to the coming Saturday. I promised to Looi that I wanna cook him a nice candlelight dinner after we move. So this is the time. Wish me luck and hopefully I will cook a nice sumptous dinner for him for the 1st time...

Last but not least, happy birthday to me and happy 1st year anniversary to HS and IZ... We rock!!! (^.^)

HoMe SwEet HoMe

Hey tell you what, it has been exactly a month since we moved to our new house. It is located near to my parents palce, quite far from my work place though. However, I have used to commute everyday since 15 years ago while I started off my secondary studies in Foon Yew High School, hence travelling to work is not a big deal to me anymore...

Home sweet home... It is great to have our own house and manage it bit by bit. I gotta start doing housework but I enjoy it. Sometimes, my dearest husband does that for me, so sweet! =) I am making breakfast for myself and my love one every morning and this really makes me feel great!

Something simple like tune sandwich, hamburger, and bread in jam is good enough to make our day... We haven't start cooking our own dinners though, but I guess we gotta figure out a way to do so soon... Eating out is probably not what we want on a daily basis; once in a blue moon is still acceptable.
